About the Course
The programme combines academic drawing fundamentals with the study of Japanese visual culture. Step by step, students master anatomy, composition, perspective, emotion, character design and the basics of creating their own manga, gradually developing an individual artistic style.
Anime and manga aren't just vivid characters and gripping plots — they're a whole artistic system with their own laws of composition, stylistics, symbolism and ways of visual storytelling.
Global Studio's methodologists have developed a comprehensive programme that helps beginner artists master the professional fundamentals of drawing and get to know the distinctive features of Japanese art. Regardless of starting level, participants gradually move from simple exercises to creating their own original projects.
Throughout the school year, students work in the creative atmosphere of Anime & Manga Studio, developing observation, imagination, a sense of composition and artistic taste. Particular attention is paid to developing creativity, the ability to tell a story through drawing, and building a personal art portfolio.

Character Design
Students study the basics of building characters in anime and manga style, get to know shōnen, shōjo and chibi, and gradually find their own artistic style.
Face and Emotions
Students master face construction, proportions and the specifics of drawing eyes, nose, mouth and ears in manga style, learning to convey characters' emotions and personality.
Anatomy, Movement and Perspective
Students study the basics of human anatomy and body proportions, learning to depict movement and work with perspective.
Clothing and Environment
Students create costumes, accessories and individual character styles, studying how to depict fabric, environmental objects and backgrounds.
Manga Storytelling
Students get to know the basics of visual storytelling: page composition, storyboarding and dialogue. At the end of the course, everyone creates their own short manga.

Anime & Manga Illustration
A comprehensive course in academic drawing and digital storytelling in the style of Japanese manga and anime. In class, students study the basics of academic drawing, composition, perspective, anatomy and character design, develop artistic thinking and create their own creative projects. The skills gained provide an excellent foundation for further study in illustration, graphic design, animation, digital art and the games industry.
