About the Course

In class, teenagers use Latvian as a tool for communication, analysis and self-expression. Discussions, films, stories, current topics and creative tasks help overcome the language barrier and build confidence in speaking.

The course is designed for teenagers who want not just to understand Latvian, but to actively use it at school, in social life and everyday life. In class, we discuss topics that genuinely interest teenagers: relationships, emotions, friendship, technology, social media, dreams and the challenges of the modern world.

Instead of traditional exercises, students take part in discussions, analyse situations, watch clips from films and series, read short texts and learn to argue their opinion. The course's main goal is to help teenagers start thinking and speaking Latvian confidently and naturally.

Example topics: "Social media: connection or addiction?", "What determines a person's success?", "How to cope with stress?", "The future of technology and artificial intelligence", "Choosing a career and plans after school", "Personal boundaries and relationships".
